Thank you . We have to get rid of the idea, that money, in any way, represents intrinsic value. Money does not represent intrinsic value. It is not money that determines the value of goods. Money, as we used to do in the United States, especially as Roosevelt emphasized this, is you need a fixed-exchange-rate system, in which, when you loan at 2%, you do not have fluctuations in currency values, which raise the 2% to 4% and 5% and so forth. Therefore, you must have a fixed-exchange-rate system among nations, and you must have, not a monetary system, which is an imperialist system intrinsically, but a credit system. And this was the intention of Franklin Roosevelt, in 1944, before his death. This was changed by Truman, fundamentally. Roosevelt, when he made his proposal, for reconstruction of the world system around a credit system, a fixed-exchange-rate credit system, fought against Keynes! He was an opponent of Keynes. Keynes was a filthy imperialist of the worst type. His type was typified by a book he wrote, in German, published in Berlin in 1937, on his system. And he wrote a preface to it, which is revealing — in German, also — saying he had published his first great book in Germany because the conditions in Germany at that time, 1937, were more favorable to his ideas than
